The session features a keynote speaker H.E. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State, Nigeria. Following the talk, H.E. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, will be in conversation with Amb. Manoah Esipisu, Visiting Professor at the African Leadership Centre (ALC). They will consider how urban governance is reshaping Africa’s role in an increasingly multipolar world. Lagos offers a practical example of how locally led initiatives can foster global connections while advancing home-grown transformation.

The event will be opened with an introduction by Prof. ‘Funmi Olonisakin, Vice President (International, Engagement and Service) at King’s College London, setting the stage for discussions on sub-national leadership.
